Alta Seeds Introduces New Aphix Lineup with Elite Sugarcane Aphid Tolerance

Alta Seeds, the premium seed brand of Advanta Seeds, announces its new lineup of Aphix™ grain sorghum hybrids with superior performance and the highest level of sugarcane aphid tolerance.
Aphix™ grain sorghum hybrids deliver low sugarcane aphid damage scores in testing by the USDA Agricultural Research Service. In addition to leading pest tolerance, these Alta Seeds hybrids offer other high performance attributes such as top end yield potential, strong drought tolerance and adaptability across a wide range of conditions.

Sugarcane aphid infestations can cause up to 100 percent crop loss if left uncontrolled according to Defense Against the Sugarcane Aphid from Sorghum Checkoff. Selecting a tolerant hybrid is the first step of an insect pest management plan to prevent crop losses from this relatively new, but damaging, sorghum pest.
