4-H Hall of Famer Reflects on the Impact of 4-H in His Life
Sat, 07 Nov 2009 22:36:04 CST
He was the President of the Oklahoma 4-H in 2005- and at the Green Tie Gala in downtown Oklahoma City this past Friday evening, Jered Davidson enjoyed seeing old friends and reflecting with us about his time in the 4-H and what the organization has done for him, as well as well what he believes he was able to give back to fellow 4-Hers as he served in a statewide capacity. You can see Jered Davidson helping greet Lt Governor Jari Askins at the Oklahoma 4-H Green Tie Gala.
Davidson is from Ft. Cobb, and not only has served as a state President of 4-H, but is also a member of the 4-H Hall of Fame. After his time in 4-H, Jered has completed his undergraduate degree in Ag Economics in Stillwater at OSU- and has now moved on to Norman where he is a first year law student.
Jered Davidson served as State Secretary and then the next year as State President for Oklahoma 4-H, and he tells us that he learned from these two years how each 4-H club across the state is unique, and that there is much to learn from all types of 4-H experiences. He says that the 4-H has inspired him to consider a career as a lawyer that will work at the community level, helping these communities in developing opportunities for Oklahomans living in rural areas.
