Will Bedwell of Okeene Wins Top Honors at 2009 Oklahoma Junior Wheat Show

The 2009 Oklahoma Junior Wheat Show awarded several thousand dollars worth of scholarships and prize money on Thursday evening in Stillwater, with young Will Bedwell of Okeene winning the title of 4-H Champion, as well as the honor of the Grand Champion of the overall show. Will's entry that won the overall championship was Fuller, and placed 9th in visual and production, and 3rd in the milling and baking testing. You can see Will with Lt. Governor Jari Askins, Dr. Robert Westerman and Dr. Mike Woods of OSU with the Grand Champion trophy.
Other top 4-H winners included:
Second Place- Catherine Westfahl of Okeene with an entry of Duster- 17th in Visual and Production- first in Milling and Baking.
Third Place- Tyler Meier of Okeene with an entry of Overley- 12th in Visual and Production- 2nd in Milling and Baking.
Fourth Place- Kohl Murray of Perkins-Tryon with an entry of Duster- first in visual and production and 13th in Milling and Baking.
Fifth Place- Kristi Lynn Burghardt of Okeene with an entry of Overley- 2nd in Visual and Production and 14th in Milling and Baking.
