Quintin Wray of the Okeene FFA Chapter takes FFA Champion Honors at 2009 Oklahoma Junior Wheat Show

The 2009 Oklahoma Junior Wheat Show awarded several thousand dollars worth of scholarships and prize money on Thursday evening in Stillwater, with Quintin Wray of the Okeene FFA Chapter winning the FFA Division with an entry of Overley wheat, placing 2nd in the visual and production and 10th in Milling and Baking- winning the Champion trophy in the FFA Division and maxing out with $3000 in scholarships here in 2009. The picture here is of Quintin, accepting congratulations from Lt. Governor Jari Askins and Oklahoma FFA Association Vice President for the Northwest District- Josh Goff.
Other FFA winners included:
Second Place- Randy Kramer of the Lomega FFA Chapter with an entry of OK Bullet, placing 9th in visual and production and 3rd in Milling and Baking.
Third Place- Quintin Wray of Okeen FFA with an entry of Hawken, placing 4th in visual and production and 9th in Milling and Baking.
Fourth Place- Tanner Bedwell of Okeene FFA with an entry of Fuller, placing 15th in Visual and Production and 2nd in Milling and Baking.
Fifth Place- Allison Fischer of Okeene FFA with an entry of Overley, placing 13th in Visual and Production and 4th in Milling and Baking.
Cody Glazier of the Lomega FFA Chapter had the top entry in FFA in Milling and Baking- and received an extra $100 from Oklahoma Genetics for his entry being one of the varieties that is licensed by OGI from OSU, Duster.
