First Ever Set of Today's Agriculturalists Under 40 Honored by Sirloin Club

First Ever Set of Today’s Agriculturalists Under 40 Honored by Sirloin Club The Sirloin Club of Oklahoma is proud to award five deserving, young agriculturalists with the Today's Agriculturalists Under 40 award for those who excel as ag educators, crop farmers, livestock producers, as an ag professional or as an agricultural business owner.

The 2020 recipients include, Brady Sidwell, Agriculture Business; Travis Bradshaw, Agriculture Educator; State Representative Trey Caldwell, Agriculture Professional; Cody Goodknight, Crop Farmer; and Kelsey Pfeiffer, Livestock Producer.

Sidwell has diversified operations in the Enid area, including Sidwell Strategies and Enid Brewing Company; Bradshaw was Ag Education teacher for 15 years in Burlington and is in his first year at Elgin High School; Caldwell is a fifth generation farmer, rancher and business owner and is in his first term as a State Lawmaker; Goodknight farms in the Chattanooga area and Pfeiffer farms and raises goats and markets them in multiple states and works with Weaver Leather.

"There are so many great young agriculturalists impacting our industry right now," said Ben Davis, President of the Sirloin Club of Oklahoma. "The Sirloin Club board felt those who are currently impacting the future of agriculture rarely receive the recognition they deserve, hence why we started the Today's Agriculturalist Under 40 award."

Each recipient was nominated by their peers and then was required to submit an application describing their involvement in the agriculture industry and a committee then selected the top applicant in each category.

"These five individuals are making the ag industry stronger," Davis said. "And their efforts deserve proper recognition."

The five recipients were recognized at the Sirloin Club of Oklahoma's Annual Banquet and Chalice Auction on February 13, 2020 at The Springs in Edmond, Oklahoma.

The annual event brings ag industry leaders, sirloin club members, legislators and welcomed guests to celebrate the successes of the past year and fundraise to help support Oklahoma 4-H and FFA students who participate at the Oklahoma Youth Expo and in the National Land Judging Contest.

The Radio Oklahoma Ag Network talked to all five honorees and will be individually featuring each winner in the next week on the website Oklahoma Farm Report, in the Ron Hays Daily Email and on the statewide radio network.
