From the 2011 Cattle Industry Convention- Karl Rove
Thu, 03 Feb 2011 13:37:37 CST
The Second General Session of the Cattle Industry Convention featured Karl Rove, who served in the White House when George W Bush was President. Rove focused on several of the big issues that have been promoted by President Barack Obama, especially the activist EPA that is wanting to regulate most aspects of American life as well as the Health Care bill that passed Congress last year and has a rising price tag, which Rove contends will continue to escalate as the reality of the measure is seen by the American public.
Rove says that the polls show less support for the bill today than when it passed- and he says that is because Doctors and others in the healthcare business have educated themselves about the bill and are letting people know of the problems this bill raises. The political operative told Cattle Producers that they could make impacts on issues important to the industry if they will educate themselves and then tell the story to anyone and everyone who will listen.
