Checking in on the Beef Checkoff - OK Beef Council's Campaign Featuring Steven Adams Goes Viral

Wed, 06 Mar 2019 13:29:19 CST

Checking in on the Beef Checkoff - OK Beef Council's Campaign Featuring Steven Adams Goes Viral On this week’s edition of Checking In on the Beef Checkoff - Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays is joined by Heather Buckmaster, executive director of the Oklahoma Beef Council. During their visit, Buckmaster talked about the latest promotional efforts of the OBC in cooperation with Steven Adams of the Oklahoma City Thunder and the success the campaign has garnered since its launch. Listen to Buckmaster and Hays full conversation by clicking or tapping the LISTEN BAR below at the bottom of the page.

The videos Buckmaster refers to are a series made in partnership with The OKC Thunder’s Steven Adams, who talks about his preference for beef and how it fuels his game. According to her, since this exciting new digital campaign was launched back in January, the videos have accumulated more than 770,000 organic views. And that, she says, is just from the Oklahoma Beef Council’s own social media channels. In addition to that, Buckmaster says the videos have also been shared with audiences nationwide - in featured broadcasts on ESPN and Inside the NBA on TNT as well as countless stories shared via Yahoo News, multiple sports marketing vlogs and virtually all local media outlets here in Oklahoma.

“That is a lot of views,” Buckmaster remarked. “When we saw those kinds of results coming in, we truly realized what a wonderful new partnership this is for us.”
