Thursday Afternoon June18 Wheat Harvest Update from Oklahoma Wheat Commission

The following is the Thursday afternoon summary of harvest activity as released by the Oklahoma Wheat Commission:
Wednesday held weather that was great for drying the wheat and allowing producers to really make headway on this year’s harvest. Today’s average test weight is 56 pounds and most elevators are reporting loads at 11 percent moisture. Producers in the Carnegie area are seeing 15-22 bu/acre yields. West of there, in Rocky, producers are reporting yields in the 10 to 30 bushel range. In Alfalfa county, yield reports average 27 bu/acre, with isolated reports of 45 bushels. Test weights have been up as high as 65 pounds in the Blackwell area.
