Changing Weather Conditions Can Mean BRD Problems- Baytil 100 Helps Cattle Producers Respond Effectively
Fri, 21 Nov 2008 5:10:12 CST
Our end of the week Beef Buzz takes a look at the changing weather that we face at this time of year and how that impacts the health and well being of the cattle we have in our operations in the southern great plains. We talk with Todd Firkins of Bayer Animal Health about why it is important to move quickly when respiratory problems pop up in your herd. And, Todd talks about one of the options that cattle producers have to help battle what can be a very costly disease problem, Bovine Respiratory Disease, Baytril 100.
As Livestock Category Manager for Bayer Animal Health, Firkins is responsible for marketing and support of Baytril 100, Bayer Animal Health’s antibiotic for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD). Firkins also has responsibility for leading Bayer Animal Health’s ongoing commitment to business development in the food animal category.
Firkins was involved in the beef industry as a rancher in the Texas Panhandle before joining Bayer Animal Health over a decade ago- so he understands what the rancher needs when it comes to a product that work like people say it will- and doesn't require a first mortgage to do it.
The Beef Buzz is a regular feature heard on radio stations around the state on the Radio Oklahoma Network- and is a regular audio feature found on this website as well.
