Three Names Surfacing

Thu, 04 Dec 2008 11:11:19 CST

Three Names Surfacing The three names that are apparently on the "short list" for Secretary of Agriculture are:

Congressman John Salazar of Colorado- current member of House Ag Committee- downside is that his seat could be vulnerable to Republicans grabbing that district if he leaves for USDA.

Governor Kathleen Sebelius of Kansas- we have been told her strong suit is not agriculture- but she has executive experience to run one of the biggest agencies in the federal government.

and

former Congressman Sanford Bishop of Georgia- who's nickname when he was in the House was "Mr. Peanut."

There could be others- but apparently these are the current finalists.
