Third Annual No Till Conference Coming February 8 and 9 in Norman

Wed, 03 Feb 2010 5:27:48 CST

The third No Till Oklahoma Conference runs Monday and Tuesday February 8 and 9 in Norman, Oklahoma. OSU's Dr. Chad Godsey is one of the key promoters of the 2010 event and he writes in the program for the event. "The intent is to bring producers from the southern Great Plains together to share ideas about no-till cropping systems and compliment this discussion with specialists from university and industry within Oklahoma and surrounding states. Each session during the conference is designed to highlight specific aspects of no-till systems that are important for success. Speakers in each session consist of university specialist and producers with no-till experience. Producers in the sessions have several years experience with no-till and have overcome or adjusted to the obstacles many encounter early on in no-till cropping systems."

Click on the PDF file link below for the full program of the 2010 event. You will notice there are breakout sessions during the conference, so review your options for those sessions now and be prepared to know which one you want to attend once at the meeting.

The cost for attending the conference, which begins at 8:00 a.m. on both days, is $125 per person, if reservations are made before January 20. After January 20, the cost will be $150 per person. Contact the OSU office for the Plant and Soil Science Department in the Division of Agriculture by calling 405-744-3669 for last minute registration information.
