The Rain in Spain Continues- But Spirits of Class 14 Continue High as They See John Deere European Training Facility
Sun, 28 Feb 2010 7:32:21 CST
More from the OALP Class 14 has come in ovenight Saturday February 27- early morning February 28- Clinton Griffiths offers this quick note of the Saturday travels from the OALP International Travel Experience. "We went to the John Deere training facility and a 5000 acre cattle ranch in the mountains outside of Madrid. They raise limi/saler cross cattle and have a feedlot operation. Due to poor demand, the facility is fattening only a fraction of its potential and the cattle herd is moving to more of a production based operation rather than a feeding operation."
Michael Marlow, who is an agronomist for Monsanto also sent us a quick text from the Saturday experience, saying "Another rainy day in Spain. Not even rain can stop us on our learning quest. Today we visited John Deeres training facility outside Madrid Spain. This state of the art facility was designed to train techicians, dealers and farmers in the equipment features and function. This includes tractors, combines and irrigation equipment. Their presentation, facility and hospitality were all world class. Great job John Deere!"
We have new pictures posted that now include the John Deere training facility and the cattle ranch on our Flickr page- Click here to jump over to the FLICKR page with all of the picutres we have posted to date of the OALP trip to Spain and Morocco.
