USDA's Tom Vilsack Remains Optimistic that Japanese Will Widen Access for US Beef Into Their Country
Thu, 17 Jun 2010 6:37:06 CDT
Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack hopes that the move by the Japanese in recent days to replace their Prime Minister- who has now announced a replacement for the Minister of Agriculture- will not slow the process of getting dialogue going to widen access into the Japanese market for US Beef.
Vilsack, in comments to Stewart Doan during a long form interview that can be heard as a part of the Open Mic series on Agri-Pulse.Com, continues to promote a step by step process in dealing with the country that can't seem to keep a government in power long enough to be able to resolve this blockage of US beef that comes from cattle older than 20 months of age.
You can hear Vilsack's comments on this Beef Buzz.
The Beef Buzz is a regular feature heard on radio stations around the state on the Radio Oklahoma Network- but is also a regular audio feature found on this website as well.
