Blooms and Bolls- Cotton Crop in October in Central Oklahoma in Pictures

Mon, 18 Oct 2010 6:05:14 CDT

Blooms and Bolls- Cotton Crop in October in Central Oklahoma in Pictures Cotton Crop Prospects continue to look good across the state of Oklahoma, with some of the crop already harvested- while other fields have still been getting a little more growth in. These pictures are of a field in northeast Canadian County- just north of Express Ranches- and in these picutres you will see both open bolls and full blooms. It was a very pretty cotton field- saw a few grasshoppers on the edge- but nothing that was a problem.

These pictures were taken Saturday, October 16, 2010.

If realized, the Oklahoma cotton crop will total over 450,000 bales for the 2010 crop.
