OSU Grain Economist Kim Anderson Calls Corn the King of the Market This Fall

Fri, 22 Oct 2010 5:07:20 CDT

OSU Grain Economist Kim Anderson Calls Corn the King of the Market This Fall Oklahoma State University Extension Grain Market Economist Dr. Kim Anderson talked about the grain markets with the brand new Host for the weekly OSU Division of Ag TV production SUNUP- Lyndall Stout- and he told her about the impact of China's currency decisions on the global grain trade.

They also dicussed the need for the corn market to rise to a level where enough acres will be secured in 2011 to produce an adequate sized crop in this country. That makes corn the market leader, dragging soybeans and wheat along for the ride.

You can see their conversation on Saturday morning on OETA- or you can listen to it now by clicking on the LISTEN BAR below and catch up on Dr. Anderson's strategy as the markets trade on this Friday.

Besides the Anderson segment- it looks like the first week for the new host for SUNUP will be great week of features- which include:

Gina Peek talks about possible health hazards you may be unknowingly tracking into your home.

A preview of the next Farm Bill with Larry Sanders.

In Cow-Calf Corner, Glenn Selk shows us how to get the most for your money from winter supplements.

In our Mesonet segment, Al Sutherland talks about the rainfall deficit and the precipitation outlook.

Derrell Peel looks at beef production in the third quarter of the year.

And finally, Paul Weckler and students from Farm House and Alpha Delta Pi look at some of the long-term lessons in completing their homecoming house decoration project.
