Students Statewide Working on Entries to 2011 Ag in the Classroom Contest Entries
Thu, 25 Nov 2010 17:51:15 CST
The 2011 Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom Ag Day Contests have students all across Oklahoma very busy these last few school days of 2010. According to Ag in the Classroom Coordinator Dana Bessinger, there are four different contests that young people can participate in- based on what year in school they are here this fall.
Those contests include the Bulletin Board, the Ag Posters, Ag Storyboard and Ag Essays. The theme for all four contests leading up to the recognition that the students will receive next March during Ag Day activities is "I believe in Oklahoma Agriculture."
All of the materials related to this year's contests are on line- including information about each contest, the entry form and a age specific lesson plan that teachers can utilize in their classes to help their students learn in a fun way that helps them better understand where their food comes from.

AND- you can watch Ron's conversation with Dana on his In the Field segment on KWTV News9 this Saturday morning (November 27) at 6:40 AM.
