Ethanol Production Numbers Strong
Wed, 10 Nov 2010 17:45:15 CSTAverage daily ethanol production continues steady. For the week ending November 5, the average was 877-thousand barrels per day. That's 36.8-million gallons each day. The four week daily average is 876-thousand. At the same time stocks of ethanol nationwide fell to 16.1-million barrels. As a percentage of average daily gasoline demand, average daily ethanol production was 9.7percent.
On the coproducts side, ethanol producers were processing an average of 13.297-million bushels of corn daily into ethanol and 98,976 metric tons of livestock feed a day, 87,392 metric tons of which were distillers grains. In addition, the industry was providing 3.8 million pounds of corn oil a day.
On the ethanol exports side, U.S. ethanol producers exported 38.8-million gallons of ethanol in September, up 31 percent from August, baed on government data. This is the third highest monthly export total of the year, trailing only March and April. Year-to-date ethanol exports now stand at 251.1-million gallons, meaning the industry is on pace to export some 330 million gallons in 2010.
