Oklahoma Farm Bureau Delegates Ready to Set Policy- We Visit with Tyler Norvell
Fri, 19 Nov 2010 23:40:45 CST
Saturday is policy day at the 2010 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Convention in downtown Oklahoma City- and we had the opportunity to visit with their brand new Vice President for Public Policy- Tyler Norvell- about the policy process from the grass roots up for the general farm organization, as well as what the delegates will be dealing with- at least as far as some of the major themes are concerned.
We also discuss some of the personalities that are bubbling up at the both the Federal and State level that will impact Oklahoma agriculture in the coming year. At the top of that list is Oklahoma Congressman Frank Lucas, new Chairman of the House Ag Committee. At the state level, we talked about Jim Reese, new Secretary of Agriculture for the state of Oklahoma, as well as some of the key roles that rural lawmakers will take on in 2011.
Click on the LISTEN BAR below to hear our conversation with Tyler Norvell as the Convention was getting ready to take off on Friday.
