RFA Pledges to Support President's Energy Goals
Tue, 25 Jan 2011 17:26:06 CSTPresident Obama presented his State of the Union Address last evening. Before the big event, the President was expected to focus on some key issues for which domestic ethanol production and use are part of the solution. Those issues include green energy and energy independence, job creation, international competitiveness, and fiscal discipline.
With these themes in mind, Renewable Fuels Association President Bob Dinneen said, "America is the unchallenged leader in renewable ethanol production and innovation, and we have only begun to scratch the surface. The potential of domestic ethanol production to meet the challenges facing this nation is great and can be unleashed through sound, responsible public policies."
Dinneen pledged, "American ethanol producers stand ready to work with President Obama, his Administration, and this Congress to implement thoughtful policies that are sensitive to fiscal concerns yet continue to foster the kind of innovation that has made this nation the leader in renewable fuel technologies."
