Senator Wants Regulation Review
Wed, 26 Jan 2011 17:15:52 CST
Senator Saxby Chambliss, the Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, has sent a letter to the Office of Management and Budget urging the agency to reduce burdensome and ineffective regulations impacting farmers, ranchers and rural America. In the letter, the Senator says he wants assurance that the administration will review the actions by USDA and EPA and swiftly implement corrective action.
Consistent with President Obama's January 18th executive order, the Senator included a list of regulations and proposals that should be considered a priority for review. In the Senator's view, the regulations offer substantial and unjustifiable cost to stakeholders.
