National Cattlemen's Beef Association Relieved with Free Trade Agreement Movement
Tue, 28 Jun 2011 15:49:47 CDT
With a recent statement released from the White House about the importance of the Trade Adjustment Assistance and the Free Trade Agreements with Korea, Colombia and Panama, many agricultural organizations are hoping this will cause some movement and action with the free trade agreements. The White House statement said "it is time to move forward" with the free trade agreements.
The National Cattlemen's Beef Association released the following statement in reaction to the White House statement.
"NCBA is relieved that the long awaited free trade agreements are finally moving forward. For far too long, these agreements have been placed on the backburner while America has lost market share to other competitors. NCBA encourages House and Senate leaders to work together to implement these agreements as soon as possible.
We take it as a good sign that this barrier is being handled and welcome the opportunity to move these deals."
