Visit Stockyard City and Grab a Juicy Steak from Cattlemen's

Thu, 20 Oct 2011 16:11:45 CDT

Visit Stockyard City and Grab a Juicy Steak from Cattlemen's Cattlemen's Steakhouse in Oklahoma City, Okla., continues the Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma this week on Friday, Oct. 21. Cattlemen's is the oldest, continuously operated restaurant in the state of Oklahoma and was originally opened in 1910. Since then, Cattlemen's has changed owners a few time but is still helping customers to a delicious steak, which they will even serve you for breakfast.

Dick Stubbs, owner and president of Cattlemen's Steakhouse, says they strive to serve up a perfect steak every time one is ordered. Using only USDA choice and prime quality beef, Cattlemen's uses the best beef around. All of their steaks are hand-cut in the restaurant, aged for a period of time, and then broiled over a real charcoal flame before being brought to the table.

Cattlemen's is still in the original location from 1910, located in Stockyard City. Surrounded by a variety of retailers in western wear, saddles, tack and any other needs of the modern day cowboy or cowgirl, Cattlemen's is an exciting restaurant to go and visit. While eating at Cattlemen's, customers will also enjoy the historic and rustic feel of the restaurant, which is decorated with brands, pictures of the original owner's cattle, and an Oklahoma frontier image.

Cattlemen's also has a variety of other house specialties that customers can choose from including charcoal broiled shrimp, steak soup and beer-battered onion rings, if you don't have a craving for a steak. Also, Cattlemen's is known for their lamb fries, which are served with a bowl of cocktail sauce and a lemon.

Stubbs says Cattlemen's Steakhouse concentrates on quality food and that is their main goal. . . to serve delicious food in a nice surrounding and a perfect steak.

As part of the Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma deal, at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 21, customers will be able to purchase two $25 vouchers to Cattlemen's Steakhouse for $25. But, there are only 100 vouchers available for purchase. The Legendary Restaurants of Oklahoma selected Cattlemen's Steakhouse because of their history and reputation as a fine dining establishment.
