Spencer Stuck of Kingfisher Claims Top Honors at the 2011 American Farmers & Ranchers Speech Contest Finals


The American Farmers and Ranchers (AFR) State Speech Contest was held Dec. 10, 2011 at Stillwater, Okla., Oklahoma State University Campus. Over 160 finalists vied for the top spot within their category and division. Results of the State Contest are as follows: AFR/OFU category, in the Novice division, first place Rylee Detrick, Ringwood, second place Emily Garrett, Kingfisher and third place Seth Jackson, Bethel. Junior Division first place was Sarah Gruntmeir, Kingfisher, second place was Syndee Gerken, Kingfisher and third place was Kohl Murray, Perkins-Tryon. Intermediate Division, first place was Tapha Akers, Haworth, second place was Margan Yost, Kingfisher and third place was Ryan Danker, Wellston. Senior Division, first place was Micaela Danker, Wellston, second place was Chance Imhoff, Prague and third place was Lane Newlin, Burlington.

The Student Organization category, junior division, first place was Juanita Neeley, Elgin, second place was Jill Coats, Konawa and third place was Dal Williams, Hollis. Intermediate Division results, first place was Gatlin Squires, Kingfisher, second place, Kelby Corbett, Elgin and third place was Cale Jahn, Elgin. In the senior division first place was Kyle Hilbert, Depew, second place was Kelsi Williams, Hollis and third place was Skylar Vogle, Perkins-Tryon.

In the Natural Resources category junior division, first place was Tori Sessions, Fairview, second place was Colten Smith, Kingfisher and third place was Jordan Storey, Valliant. Intermediate division first place Jennifer Bedwell, Fairview, second place Kyler Belinson, Elgin and third place was Colton Pratz, Stillwater. Senior results, first place was Jessie Heidlage, Claremore, second place Jillian Whipple, Alva and third place was Emily Landoll, Elgin.

The Agribusiness category, juniordivision, first place was Colten Budy, Waynoka, second place Shiane Hood, Lookeba-Sickles and third place was Brooke Cameron, Kingfisher. Intermediate results, first place went to Jessie Philips, Kingfisher, second place Hannah Cummins, Elgin and third place Audry Dunlap, Fairview. Senior Division, first place was Tyler Schnaithman, Garber, second place was Katie Lippoldt, Kingfisher and third place was Mikayla Balderas, Tipton.

The AgriScience category, junior division, first place was Sydney Hutchinson, Fairview, second went to Micah Mueggenberg, Kingfisher and third place was Will Shelby, Madill. Intermediate division, first place was Cheradan Vap, Burlington, second place was Kade Blackley, Thomas Fay Custer and third place was Brooke McKinney, Spiro. Senior division results, first place went to Jamie Adams, Kingfisher, second place Kirsten Rogers, Calera and third place was Nicole Ashton, Elgin.

The Tournament of Champions Division I category, first place was Hadley Griffith, Shawnee. Division II, first place was Spencer Struck, Kingfisher and second place was Blair Kloppel, Kingfisher.
