Sat, 18 Feb 2012 03:10:13 CST
The travels in and around Edinburgh, Scotland continue for the Oklahoma Ag Leadership Program Class XV. Day two included a fascinating session with a representative of the Roslin Institute, meetings at the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society for Agriculture and a stop at one of the major supermarket chains in the United Kingdom, Sainsbury.
The picture here is of the Assistant Store Manager at Sainsbury showing some of the class members their fresh baked bread section in the supermarket.
Day two pictures are now being added to our FLICKR collection- click here to see those new pictures as well as all of the stuff from Day One as well.
Stories will follow over the weekend with audio comments from John Picken, National Vice President of the National Farmers Union of Scotland- their major general farm organization- Dr. Patricia Hart of the Roslin Institute and Steven Hutt, CEO of the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland. We will start adding in some comments from some of the Class about what they are seeing that is impressive to them when it comes to our travels in Scotland- and starting Sunday afternoon- in Ireland.
