Tulsa Farm Show Begins 19th Annual Run at Expo Square
Thu, 06 Dec 2012 05:56:05 CST
The Tulsa Farm Show starts its three day run this morning- and will continue all day Thursday, Friday and wrap up at 4 PM on Saturday afternoon. It's the 19th year for the Tulsa Farm Show- and Marketing Manager for Midwest Farm Shows, John Sampson, has been around for all of them. He has been excited each year as the show has grown to a point where here in 2012- commercial exhibits have spilled over into the lower level of the Quik Trip Center for the first time. Here in 2012- the excitement in John's voice is still there, even as he and the Midwest Farm Show team juggle a lot more exhibitors and events than were seen in the early years of the Show.
As the show paricipants polished up their equipment and checked their booths one final time before the 9 AM opening on Thursday- Farm Director Ron Hays talked with Sampson about the 2012 edition of the show- and the mood of farmers and vendors at other Midwest show venues around the country here in 2012. You can hear that conversation by clicking on the LISTEN BAR below.
If you plan on coming to the 2012 show- be sure and stop by and say hello to the Radio Oklahoma Ag Network team- our booth is located just inside the main entrance to the building- right behind the big Tulsa Driller that stands tall on the south edge of the Tulsa Fairgrounds. If you stop by- you can pick up a copy of our latest RON Value Book as well as enter to win a 8,000 lb. winch by Smittybilt. It has a 5 1/2 horsepower motor and comes with a 12' remote cord. It has 94 feet of cable, a fairlead, weighs 80 lbs., and will mount to almost any brush guard used by larger pickups. Tim at Perfection Equipment tells us a lot of farmers bolt this winch to a flatbed trailer and use it to load cars, logs, and other heavy equipment. He's also sold quite a few to deer hunters who mount them on the front or rear of their Jeeps. Perfection Truck Parts and Equipment is our partner in this giveaway and they handle accessories for almost any truck. They do everything from mounting Tommy Gates and headache racks on Toyota Tundras to working on 60-ton cranes. If you want to get ahold of them and see if they can help you with a specific accessory for your truck- their toll free number is (800) 888-7326.
