Compared to last week, steer calves and yearlings steady, with yearling steers near 900 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher, heifer calves 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Demand best for weaned steer calves and yearlings. Supply moderate. A bullish USDA Cattle On Feed report showed On Feed at 93 percent, Marketing at 96 percent, and Placements 89 percent. Live Cattle futures closed with double gains, Feeder Cattle futures with double to triple digit gains. The feeder supply included 45 percent steers, 43 percent heifers, 12 percent bulls, with 47 percent over 600 lbs.
