Here is the market report as provided by the Missouri Department of Agriculture for the Joplin Regional Stockyards for Monday, October 14, 2013


Joplin had a total run of 5,578 cattle on Monday, October 14. Steer and Heifer Calves sold steady to $3 higher, while both the steer and heifer yearlings mostly steady.


Feeder Steers- Medium and Large Frame #1-

300 to 400 pounds sold for $200- $216

400 to 500 pounds sold for $178- $192, with thin flesh up to $197.

500 to 600 pounds sold for $167 to $178 with thin flesh to $183

600 to 700 pounds sold for $160 to $164 with thin fleshed ranging $174 to $176

700 to 800 pounds sold for $151 to $166

800 to 900 pounds sold for $152 to $162


Feeder Heifers - Medium and Large #1

300 to 400 pounds sold for $160 to $172

400 to 500 pounds sold for $151 to $172

500 to 600 pounds sold for $144 to $165

600 to 700 pounds sold for $150 to $162

700 to 800 pounds sold for $153 to $161
