The Monday Edition of Let it Snow- The Latest Maps

Mon, 09 Dec 2013 06:49:32 CST

The Monday Edition of Let it Snow- The Latest Maps Snowfall amounts may top out at a couple of inches later today across the northern counties of the state of Oklahoma- the map above shows a view from the National Weather Service Norman office coverage area- with Enid sitting right where the heaviest amounts of snow are possible. The graphic at the bottom of this page shows the same system from the Tulsa National Weather Service coverage area and reflects up to two inches in northeastern Oklahoma as well.

After this system- it now looks like a lot of Oklahoma could finally see temperatures above freezing on Tuesday afternoon- or at the latest on Wednesday. Highs in the 40s are in the picture by the latter part of the week- with no precipitation currently in the outlook for the western two thirds of Oklahoma- although the eastern counties are showing chances of freezing rain and dizzle by Thursday evening and/or Friday.

Click here for the Mesonet forecast pages- set to Hugo to show you the possible rain at the end of the week. There is a tab above the map that allows you to change the forecast page to your locality by clicking on it and then selecting the Mesonet site of interest.
