Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 01/13/2014


   

Actual Receipts: 13,504 Last Monday: 8137 Year Ago Monday: 8648

Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 1.00 lower. Feeder heifers steady to 2.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves steady to 3.00 higher, most advance on lighter weights. Demand moderate to good for feeder cattle; good for calves. Nice weather and a good market has resulted in a very large run. Quality average to many attractive, with several nice drafts off wheat pasture. Feeder cattle in slightly thin to fleshy conditions. Receipts this week totaled 77 percent over 600 lbs and 40 percent heifers.
