Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves under 550 lbs steady to 5.00 lower, calves over 550 lbs and yearlings steady. Demand good, supply heavy. The calf trade was not as active as last week on a lighter offering. The USDA Cattle On Feed report showed 95 percent On Feed, with Placements and Marketing even with a year ago. The weather is dry but the temperature has a wide range with a forty seven degree drop in the last twenty four hours. The feeder supply included 56 percent steers, 38 percent heifers, 06 percent bulls, with 56 percent over 600 lbs.
