Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for Monday 04/07/2014


   

Actual Receipts: 5283   Last Monday: 8316   Year Ago Monday: 6820

Compared to last week: Feeder and stocker steers steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder and stocker heifers 2.00-3.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves mostly steady. Demand continues to be very good for all classes. The state received some moisture over the weekend with the majority of the rain falling in the south and southeast. Much of Western Oklahoma remains extremely dry. Quality plain thru attractive. Several more new crop calves included in supply. Receipts this week totaled 68 percent over 600 lbs and 36 percent heifers.
