Feeder Cattle Auction Mid-Session for 05/19/2014

Compared to last week, feeder cattle and calves weighing over 400 lbs sold steady to 3.00 higher with the exception of many larger groups of 700-850 lb yearling steers which traded 6.00-9.00 higher with help from Northern interests. Pee-wee steer and heifer calves under 400 lbs actively sold 7.00-10.00 higher with little regard for quality.


Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1 few 200-300 lbs 302.50-355.00; 300-400 lbs 240.00-285.00; 400-500 lbs 222.50-245.00; 500-600 lbs 205.00-235.00, fleshy/full 200.00-211.00; 600-700 lbs 195.00-221.00, pkg thin 610 lbs 224.00, unweaned 600-700 lb calves 182.50-205.00; 700-800 lbs 190.00-206.00; 800-900 lbs 174.50-189.00, pkg fleshy 860 lbs 173.00; 900-950 lbs 168.00-176.00. Medium and Large 1-2 250-300 lbs 260.00-290.00; 300-400 lbs 235.00-270.00; 400-500 lbs 215.00-239.00; 500-600 lbs 205.00-230.00; 600-700 lbs 195.00-216.00, fleshy 670 lbs 185.00; 700-800 lbs 182.50-196.00, pkg thin 725 lbs 204.00.
