Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 06/11/2014

Receipts: 4158    Last Week: 7210    Year Ago: N/A

Compared to last week: Feeder steers 6.00-9.00 higher, with instances of 12.00-15.00 higher on steers over 800 lbs. Feeder heifers sold 9.00-10.00 higher. Not enough comparable sales to establish a trend for steer and heifer calves, however a much higher undertone was noted. Demand very good for all classes. Rains fell again over the weekend with 2-4 inches very common in most all areas of the state and more rain expected for Thursday. Receipts this week totaled 85 percent over 600 lbs and 30 percent heifers.
