Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 07/07/2014

Estimated Receipts: 3000   Last Monday: 5791   Year Ago Monday: 6955

Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 4.00 higher, most advance on 800-900 lbs. Feeder heifers mostly steady in a light test. Steer and heifer calves steady to firm. Receipts are light following the holiday weekend. Temperatures are predicted to stay in the upper 90's throughout the week, and Oklahoma City may see the first 100 degree day of the year by the weekend. Supply included 72 percent over 600 lbs; 36 percent heifers.
