American Farm Bureau Federation President Bob Stallman today released the following statement regarding Senate approval of Darci Vetter's nomination as Chief US Agricultural Negotiator.
"Senate approval of Darci Vetter's nomination as chief U.S. agricultural trade negotiator is a win for American agriculture. She brings a wealth of well-rounded expertise in the trade arena to the position, including tenures with the Agriculture Department, Office of the U.S. Trade Representative and the Senate Finance Committee.
"Ambassador Vetter's most recent experience at USDA provided her with direct exposure to the workings of many of the critical programs related to trade currently offered by the federal government and the array of agricultural sectors involved in expanding U.S. farm and ranch exports.
"Darci Vetter is an exceptional choice for this important role in our international trade strategy. We look forward to working with her on behalf of America's farmers and ranchers."
