Compared to last week: Steers and heifers steady on comparable sales.
Quality is less attractive than last week, with a larger percentage of the
cattle showing Brahman influence. Cold air from the north is moving into the
region, which will provide relief from these higher temperatures. Temperatures
are forecasted to be in the 70's and 80's throughout the week, with the 90s
returning by the weekend.
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: pkg 370 lbs 287.00; 450-500 lbs
265.00-278.00; 510 lbs 270.00, 500-550 lbs fleshy 239.00-245.00; 560 lbs
243.00; 615 lbs 234.50; 750-775 lbs 209.00-212.50; Yearlings: 615 lbs 247.50;
665 lbs 223.00; 855 lbs 211.00.
Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1: Calves 355 lbs 269.00; 425 lbs fleshy
