Oklahoma National Stockyards - Add Mid-Session

Oklahoma National Stockyards, Oklahoma City, OK Add Mid-Session
Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 07/14/2014

Estimated Receipts: 6800     Last Monday: 3285     Year Ago Monday: 12,261

Compared to last week: Feeder steers were steady to 4.00 lower. Feeder heifers were mostly steady. Not enough comparable sales on steer or heifer calves for a market trend, but a weaker undertone was noted. Quality is less attractive than last week, with a larger percentage of the cattle showing Brahman influence. Cold air from the north is moving into the region, which will provide relief from these higher temperatures. Temperatures are forecasted to be in the 70's and 80's throughout the week, with the 90s returning by the weekend.
