Feeder Cattle Auction for 07/21/14

Compared to last week, steer calves 5.00 to 15.00 higher following last week’s sharply lower trade, heifer calves and yearlings steady to 2.00 higher. Demand good, supply moderate. Cattle Buyers had more orders to fill as positive fundamentals and the recent market weakness looked to be a buying opportunity. The feeder supply included 51 percent steers, 38 percent heifers, 11 percent bulls, with 50 percent over 600 lbs.
