Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 07/21/2014

Actual Receipts: 4892     Last Monday: 7035     Year Ago Monday: 9245

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady to 3.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves steady to 3.00 lower in a light test. Demand good for feeder cattle and heavy weight calves moderate for others. Quality typical of the summer and plain to average. Good rains fell again late last week with heavy rains falling in Southern and South-western Oklahoma. Country looks more like spring than the middle of summer. High heat and humidity producing average to full weigh-ups. Supply included 75 percent over 600 lbs; 44 percent heifers.
