Compared to last week, steer calves and heifers (all weights) steady to 5.00 higher, except 500 weight heifers 4.00 to 9.00 higher, steers 600 to 800 lbs 8.00 to 15.00 higher, over 800 lbs 5.00 to 6.00 higher. Demand good to very good, supply moderate. The USDA reported 98 percent Cattle On Feed, Placements at 94 percent, and Marketing at 98 percent from a year ago. The Cattle Inventory is down three percent from two years ago, the fewest number in forty years. The feeder supply included 58 percent steers, 34 percent heifers, 08 percent bulls, with 48 percent over 600 lbs.
