Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 08/25/2014

***The Oklahoma National Stockyards will be closed next Monday for Labor
Day. There will be a one day sale on Tuesday September 02, 2014.***

Estimated Receipts: 5200   Last Monday: 4691   Year Ago Monday: 7494

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers steady to 1.00 lower. Steer and heifer calves lightly tested but a higher undertone noted, especially on the lighter weights. Demand moderate to good and improved some from last week. Hot and dry weather has swept across the state with temperatures expected to be near or over 100 for most of the week. Quality plain to average. Weigh-ups average to full.
