The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation announced Monday that Jeff Moen has been selected as the new director of business development.
Moen has acted as the Noble Foundation's corporate counsel and assistant general counsel for almost eight years. He has been significantly involved in many aspects of the business development efforts during the past year. "Jeff has an elite mind, an unmatched work ethic and true professionalism," said Bill Buckner, president and CEO of the Noble Foundation. "His abilities will enable continued success of our business development efforts and overall mission."
The Noble Foundation business development office is designed to tie the organization's intellectual property and technology with the agricultural marketplace. "The Noble Foundation undertakes research to produce purposeful outcomes," Buckner said. "When delivered to the marketplace, these outcomes will benefit agricultural producers and, ultimately, consumers; create new economic development opportunities for our community and state; and fulfill our mission to advance agriculture."
As part of the new business development activities, Moen will identify opportunities in the agricultural industry and in the Noble Foundation's research programs. He will facilitate building mutual areas of cooperation between Noble and industry to deliver technological solutions to advance agriculture.
"The Noble Foundation is unlike any organization I've ever known. We have a group of individuals from around the world dedicated to a common mission of advancing agriculture and there is nothing more powerful or inspiring than a united effort toward a common goal," Moen said. "I am proud to have been a part of this organization for the past eight years, and now I'm honored to have the privilege of serving in this new capacity."
Born and raised just north of the Oklahoma Panhandle in Liberal, Kansas, Moen earned a bachelor's of business administration from the University of Oklahoma (OU). After graduating from OU, he worked in the energy trading industry before returning to school to earn a law degree from Southern Methodist University. Prior to joining the Noble Foundation, Moen practiced law at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP in Dallas, Texas.
Moen has served in leadership roles on the boards of various nonprofit organizations, including the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits, Family Shelter of Southern Oklahoma, Greater Ardmore Scholarship Foundation (the More Foundation) and Dornick Hills Golf & Country Club. He is also a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma Class XXIII. Moen lives in Ardmore, Oklahoma, with his wife, Jenni, and their three children, Ethan, Dylan and Ella.
