Lauren Bilderback El Reno FFA Shows Grand Champion Steer at Tulsa State Fair

The McDonalds Night of Champions was the showring finale of the 2014 Tulsa State Fair Junior Market Animal Show, with all four major species being brought to the Ford Truck Arena as the Breed and Division Champs were looked at one final time by the judges, with the result a Grand Champion and a Reserve Grand Champion named for the Goats, Sheep, Hogs and Cattle.

The top animals in all four species will be sold in the premium auction to be hosted by the Tulsa State Fair and the Tulsa Ringmasters at 5:00 PM Thursday afternoon- also happening in the Ford Truck Arena.

At the conclusion of the Market Steer show, Farm Director Ron Hays visited for a few minutes with the Market Steer Show Judge, Dan Shike of Illinois about what he was looking for as he placed the steers for the 2014 Tulsa State Fair show. The Grand Champion Market Steer was the Champion Maine Anjou breed champion- shown by Lauren Bilderback of the El Reno FFA Chapter. The Reserve Grand Champion Steer of the 2014 Show was exhibited by the owner of the 2013 Grand Steer- Baylor Bonham of the Newcastle FFA Chapter. His Reserve Grand Steer was the top Crossbred here in 2014.

Reserve- Dawson Dudark, ELgin 4-H


Champion- Caden Church, Sentinel FFA
Reserve- Kennedy Vanzant, Payne County 4-H


Champion- Ryder Klaassen, Hydro-Eakly 4-H
Reserve- Brock Carter, Sentinel FFA


Champion- Madison Hudgins, Mannford 4-H
Reserve- Jake Paul Perryman, Warner FFA


Champion- Hayden Taliaferro, Sterling 4-H
Reserve- Nicholas Heid, Payne County 4-H


Champion- Rylee Parsons, Idabel FFA
Reserve- Marlie Farris, Sentinel 4-H

Maine- Anjou

Champion- Lauren Bilderback, El Reno FFA
Reserve- Madyson Arthur, Chickasha FFA


Champion- Kalee Horn, Edmond FFA
Reserve- Jake Thorp, Timberlake FFA


Champion- Stefanie Guerrero, Weatherford FFA
Reserve- Will Chrz, Morrison 4-H


Champion- Baylor Bonham, Newscastle FFA
Reserve- Seth Tucker, Lindsay 4-H
