Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/14/2015

Receipts: 5612    Last Week: 4728    Year Ago: 7979

Compared to last week: Feeder steers traded 6.00 to 10.00 lower, cattle over 850 lbs 12.00 to 15.00 lower. Feeder heifers sold with a sharply lower undertone on limited comparable sales. Calves sold mostly 5.00 to 10.00 lower, steer calves under 500 lbs as much as 20.00 lower. Demand light to moderate for all classes. Warmer temperatures are expected for the remainder of the week and thru the weekend. Quality was average to attractive. Supply included 78 percent over 600 lbs; 42 percent heifers.
