Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 01/21/2015

Receipts: 8782    Last Week: 5612    Year Ago: 8608

Compared to last week: Feeder steers traded 8.00 to 12.00 lower, cattle over 900 lbs up to 15.00 lower. Feeder heifers sold 7.00 to 10.00 lower. Steer calves 10.00 to 15.00 lower. Heifer calves 5.00 to 8.00 lower on limited comparable offerings. Demand light to moderate for all classes. Cooler temperatures are expected for the remainder of the week a winter storm is expected late Wednesday night delivering an estimated 8 inches of snow in the Panhandle and Western Oklahoma.   Quality was average to attractive. Supply included 71 percent over 600 lbs; 33 percent heifers.
