Feeder Cattle Summary Report for 02/04/2015

Receipts: 3542    Last Week: 5796    Year Ago: 1357

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 800 lbs traded mostly steady, over 800 lbs 4.00-5.00 lower. Feeder heifers 2.00-4.00 lower on light offerings. Steer and heifer calves sold steady to weak in a light test. Demand moderate for all classes. Quality was average to mostly attractive. A strong cold front swept across the state today plunging temperatures below freezing with wind gust over 50 mph. Supply included 89 percent over 600 lbs; 24 percent heifers.

   
Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: 465-500 lbs 290.00; 500-600 lbs 241.00-270.00; 600-700 lbs 215.00-235.00; Yearlings: 600-700 lbs 219.00-238.00; 700-800 lbs 200.00-219.50; 800-900 lbs 182.75-200.50; 900-1000 lbs 174.25-183.50; 1000-1100 lbs 170.00-172.00.
   
Medium and Large 1-2: Calves: lot 370 lbs 335.00; 425-435 lbs 280.00, thin fleshed 305.00; 500-600 lbs 219.00-238.00; 600-700 lbs 210.00-219.00; Yearlings; 600-700 lbs 215.00-230.00; 700-800 lbs 191.00-214.00; 825-900 lbs 182.25-188.60; 900-935 lbs 173.50-180.75; lot 1090 lbs 150.00.
