Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 02/02/2015

Estimated Receipts: 4,300     Last Monday: 7,968     Year Ago Monday: 3,394

Compared to last week: Feeder steers weighing under 800 lbs traded 8.00 to 12.00 higher. Feeder steers weighing over 800 lbs steady to 4.00 higher. Feeder heifers traded mostly 2.00 to 6.00 higher, with instances of 9.00 higher on 600-650 lb heifers. Steer and heifer calves mostly 5.00 to 15.00 higher. Some much needed rain fell over the region this weekend, which will help lower fire dangers and give a boost to the wheat crop.
