Feeder Cattle Summary Report for 03/19/2015

Receipts: 11369    Last Week: 11074    Year Ago: 6633

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold steady to 4.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 800 lbs traded steady to 2.00 higher; over 800 lbs 5.00-6.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves no trend established due to limited comparable sales. A mild weather pattern has setup across the state causing cool mornings and pleasant afternoons. Demand good or all classes. Quality was average to attractive with many lots being. in fleshy and full conditions. Supply included 85 percent over 600 lbs; 32 percent heifers.
