Schumann No Longer CEO at American Angus
Mon, 08 Jun 2015 16:26:02 CDT
The American Angus Association is looking for a new leader. On Friday, the association's board of directors announced that Bryce Schumann is no longer the organization's chief executive officer. Schumann has been an employee of the association for the past 15 years.
This announcement comes just over a year after questions were raised over Schumann's leadership. In March of 2014, a group of American Angus employees submitted a letter to the American Angus board of directors. The letter shared their concerns over the management of the Association and asked for his removal as Association CEO. After a thorough investigation, the American Angus board of directors expressed their support for Schumann and six regional managers and six staff members were terminated from their positions.
The American Angus Association has been a process to identifying qualified candidates to become the new chief executive officer. Chief Financial Officer Richard Wilson will serve as interim CEO and oversee the operations of the Association and its entities.
