Empty Ralgro Wheels Valuable to the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association
Mon, 22 Jun 2015 15:48:47 CDT
The Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association encourages producers to roll in those empty Ralgro® wheels into the upcoming annual convention and turn those wheels into cash.
"The Wheels for Bucks program and Ralgro deliver value to the producer in two ways," says Charlie Swanson, OCA President Elect "members benefit from the additional weight Ralgro adds to their calves and our association gains more cash resources."
For every wheel received during the 63rd Annual Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association Convention and Trade Show, Merck Animal Health will give $1 to help fund scholarships for OCA members to attend national cattle conferences and events.
"Support from Merck Animal Health through the Wheels for Bucks program allows us to provide scholarships to Oklahoma's next generation of ranchers to attend events such as NCBA's Young Cattlemen's Conference and the Annual Cattle Industry Conference," says Swanson. "We're looking to break our record of returned Ralgro wheels in 2015."
The Wheels for Bucks program is a partnership between Merck Animal Health and participating state cattlemen's organizations. Members bring in their empty Ralgro wheels to their annual state meeting to help raise money for their association.
Don't forget to save your wheels and bring them to the OCA Convention and Trade Show on July 23, 24 & 25, 2015 at the Reed Conference Center in Midwest City, OK.
Ralgro, a cattle implant from Merck Animal Health, helps the cattle industry sustainably produce more safe, quality beef by adding 20-35 pounds to calf weaning weights. To learn more, visit www.ralgro.com.
